Kampot pepper is grown in the Kampot province, located in the far south of Southeast Asian Cambodia.

This is a region which, thanks to its coastal climate and geological conditions, allows local farmers to produce pepper of the highest quality in the world. It’s no coincidence that this pepper has earned protected geographical indication status, just like French Champagne.

We buy pepper from small family farms under direct trade conditions, which guarantee fair compensation for every grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other traders as well.

It is delicate and tender; once bitten, it unleashes a perfect harmony of exotic flavors in your mouth.

Unlike classic dried pepper, green pepper is distinctly different. It offers an intense peppery flavor, gradually accompanied by notes of citrus and conifers, intertwined with floral undertones.

Processing

We pack this delicacy in the highest quality directly in Cambodia.

A pinch of fleur de sel obtained by evaporating seawater is added to the green peppercorns. The salt preserves the fresh pepper and guarantees its absolute freshness. Thanks to this process, the grains retain the taste of tender green pepperfreshly picked from the pepper vine.

Thanks to careful selection according to the strict standards for the quality of Kampot-exported pepper set by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the best grains are handpicked. They are then vacuum-packed to preserve their quality and freshness during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further selected, packed, and delivered straight to your table.

Usage

Green pepper will be loved for its delicacy especially by fans of vegetarian cuisine.

Try pairing its perfect flavor with dark meat, sauces, risotto or breakfast eggs. The soft green grains are also great with pasta, baked dishes, and soups. It pairs wonderfully with mild cheeses, to which it adds a sharper contrast.

This pepper is not suitable for grinding in a mill due to the risk of clogging the grinding mechanism. If you still want to break its outer skin, use a mortar and pestle.

Packaging

We also pack pepper in Cambodia into 40 g and 100 g pouches.

Thanks to these pouches, the grains retain the authentic taste and aroma of fresh Kampot pepper. In this edition, they are additionally placed in luxurious sealed envelopes made from extract paper. Used coffee cups are utilized in its production.
