The Czech company UBRD, founded by Jiří Krůta and Vojtěch Hrach, comes from the foothills of Brd (hence UBRD). The company is based on high-quality processing and hand-made production. Each product passes through their hands roughly thirty times. The renowned Czech designer Petr Novague is behind the design of the Vlajka cutting board and other products. The flag reaps international success. It already boasts five world design awards, including the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. "This visually appealing cutting board combines quality woodwork with a surface that evokes the pleasure of touch," said the jury of the Red Dot Design Award. We don't know a cutting board for the kitchen that has won so many international design awards.

Avoid rinsing the product in water above 50 °C. Do not put it in the dishwasher. Wood is sensitive to sudden changes in temperature. Exposure to frost, direct sunlight or heat sources such as radiators or even ovens is harmful to it. After use, wipe the product with a wet sponge and let it dry before storing. Do not let food residues dry on it. You can use detergent for cleaning. We ourselves prefer the gentler bio & eco versions. Wood is damaged by prolonged exposure to water and moisture in general, so after washing, do not leave the products standing in dripping water, in a sink with water or on a wet towel. Ideally, oil dry wood with mineral or vegetable oil once a month. After drying, it will regain its original shine and will be better protected against water. If there are notches on the product, you can sand them with sandpaper before oiling. Cast iron cookware contains no chemicals and is non-stick.
