Origin

Kampot The pepper is grown in Kampot province, located in the very south of East Asian Cambodia.

This is a region that, thanks to its year-round climate and geological conditions, enables local farmers to produce pepper of the highest quality in the world. It is no wonder that this pepper has received a protected geographical indication, similar to French champagne. From small family farms, we buy the pepper under direct trade conditions that guarantee a fair reward for every grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other traders as well. Thanks to this, by purchasing from us you obtain not only the highest quality pepper but also the assurance that you are buying a sustainable and ethically responsible product, which helps ensure its producers access to medical care and education for their children.

Characteristic

The rare red pepper is an explosion of fruity notes with a milder spiciness.

At first, the tones dominate rose and rosehip fruit, which subsequently transition into dried cherries. After two to three minutes, the more characteristic aromas of Kampot pepper begin to develop, such as citrus fruits, dried mandarins and an earthier crust sourdough bread.

Processing

Red pepper is obtained by harvesting fully ripe peppercorns.

They ripen to rich red color and are full of fructose, thanks to which this type of pepper has its unique flavor.

Thanks to the careful selection meeting the strict quality standards for pepper sourced from Kampot, as set by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the best peppercorns are hand-picked. They are then vacuum-packed to ensure preservation of quality and freshness during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further sorted, packaged and delivered right to your table.

Usage

Thanks to the different flavors, aromas, and spiciness, various types of pepper are suitable for different purposes. Red pepper is the king of cold cuisine thanks to its fruity character.

It is suitable for vegetable salads, and it pairs well with risotto, soups, and don't be afraid to experiment with it when preparing sweet desserts or mixed drinks. Rather than with dark meat, combine it with fish or light poultry meat. The more finely you grind the Kampot pepper, the more intense the spiciness will be, whereas larger fragments or whole grains impart more specific tones of pepper to the dish.

Package

Thanks to the materials used and the special bag sealing technology, air and moisture do not reach the pepper.

Thanks to that, the peppercorns even after the bag is opened retain their authentic taste and aroma of Kampot pepper. After emptying, you can also, as part of sustainability, upcycle and continue to use them in a variety of other ways. We pack the pepper in reclosable bags with a capacity of 20 to 1000 grams. Each Package also includes a brochure that brings you the story of the best pepper in the world and introduces you to the world of .pepper..field.

Awards

Quality is our top priority, as confirmed not only by the certificates that our pepper carries, but also by the awards it wins at international competitions.

Among the most significant is the award given to our pepper as part of competition Great Taste, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of gastronomy.

However, sustainability is also important for us, which we do not treat merely as empty words, as demonstrated by SDG’s award awarded to truly sustainable and socially responsible projects.
